HSFA U15 Match Report
With this being their first competitive match the u15 travelled to Sandwell for a fixture against West Midlands.
The game began with both teams having plenty of possession without creating clear opportunities. Midway through the half Herefordshire had a great chance as a cross from the right found Jordan James who unfortunately blasted over. Soon after this a through ball found the West Midlands forward who scored the opening goal. Both teams created more chances before half time but it was West Midlands who extended their lead just before the break. The second half began with the home team in ascendancy and soon they increased their lead to 3 0. However, Herefordshire then came more into the game and had some good possession without having that cutting edge. Half way through the half West Midlands were awarded a penalty with which they hit the woodwork. Soon after they scored their fourth. Herefordshire scored a deserved consolation goal from Sam Griffiths with a fine long range strike. Overall Herefordshire battled well but we're beaten by a more physical and experienced side.
