Play Safe

Play Safe Campaign

Welcome to our page dedicated to the play safe campaign

Play Safe is a staple in the football calendar, ensuring that everyone involved in football is able to enjoy the game in the safest possible way. This year's campaign is set to take place on 28-29 September 2024.

Below we will have all the information relating to Play Safe, how you can get involved, what has happened in the previous year and what we are looking for from our grassroots teams.

For all resources, links and information, take a look at this page on England Football - Play Safe "Know Your Role in Safeguarding"

How can clubs get involved?

This year, we want to see more and more clubs getting involved than ever!
Clubs are able to apply for a Play Safe Pack, which includes captains arm bands and pin badges.
These can be displayed throughout the season to show support.

How can you as a club get one of these? Click on the link here to order.

In addition to this, clubs can order a Play Safe banner. This could go up outside of a club house, around a pitch with railings or even near the entrance to your club's facility. It makes a big statement!

Finally, you can get digital assets from this link here, there are assets in which you can add your club logo to if you want to promote via social media.

Clubs have previously sent in photos of their teams supporting Play Safe, whether that is through cards spelling out the words or getting more creative like Ross Juniors and spelling the words out with the players themselves. How creative can you be this season? Send your best photos into Danielle via email (Danielle.Harris@herefordshirefa.com). We will once again be choosing a winner for the most creative photo, who will receive a prize!
