How did you feel when you heard about winning the Grassroots Award for 2024?

Everyone involved with Hinton Football club were extremely proud and honoured to have received this award.

As a club made up of purely Volunteers, we work very hard to build a community feel down at Broomy Hill, were everyone feels a sense of belonging and achievement.

What is your favourite thing about your role within local football in Herefordshire?

We are immensely proud to offer football to players of all levels of ability and skill.

From our after schools clubs, through our junior football teams and into the senior teams we try to be welcoming and supportive of all players, parents, spectators and volunteers.

What are your aspirations for local football in Herefordshire?

We want to known as a friendly, welcoming and supportive Football Club. We are located in a beautiful and picturesque part of the  town, and want everyone that visits us to enjoy the surroundings, be able to make friends and enjoy supportive and fun Football.

With the addition of the West Hereford Pétanque Club who have made there home  with us at Broomy Hill we have opened up our doors to an even wider  and more diverse audience.

What encouraging words would you have for anyone wanting to get involved with local football?

Enjoy your Sport. At grass-roots level sport should be fun.

You should make new friends, get fit and enjoy playing whatever sport you are involved in.
