How did you feel when you heard about winning the grassroots award for 2024?

I feel very honoured to have received this established award. To find out I had been nominated for this awarded was a privilege and to have won volunteer of the year is a great achievement.

What is your favourite thing about your role within local football in Herefordshire?

I feel that giving back to the girls and community is something very important and I love to be able to watch them develop. I love to meet new people and socialise in different environments.

What are you aspirations for local football in Herefordshire?

I want to inspire the next generation and without volunteers clubs and other organisations would not be able to run.

What encouraging words would you have for anyone wanting to get involved within local football?

A big thing is being able to do something you feel passionate about. I think it’s important to get stuck in and be determined. With all the encouragement and support around people now, being involved in a local football club can be a positive impact on the community.
