Draw made for the first rounds of HFA County Cup
The Herefordshire FA County Cup Preliminary and First Round draws took place on the Thursday 16th August, with the draw conducted live via Facebook. HFA Chair Steve Willmot and Vice Chair Sharon Fellowes drew away and home teams respectively.
Although drawn out first, Holme Lacy will travel to Kington to play the first Preliminary game due to the former not having floodlights, with Hinton hosting Wellington in the other tie.
The First Round draw resulted in some interesting ties, particularly with the counties two highest ranked sides Hereford and Westfields being drawn together at this stage for the second time in two seasons. Meanwhile the runners up from the last two seasons Hereford Lads Club will face Malvern Town Res whilst Saturday Premier new boy’s Kingstone Rovers will host Fownhope.
